THE STRENGTH OF THE CAMELEON

CARTE BLANCHE GIVEN TO NATHALIE VIOT, CONTEMPORARY ART CONSULTANT AT THE DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, IN CHARGE OF STATE COMMISSIONS, AND EXHIBITION CURATOR.

Nathalie Viot, contemporary art consultant for the Department of Cultural Affairs for the City of Paris, is offering an intuitive installation of the works in the Collection, based on colours.

“What I’m really looking for is to make visitors feel the emotional intensity of the works,” says Nathalie Viot, who wants visitors to feel comfortable with the “immediate” works. The space is balanced through the choice of works, which bring a new vision of the material making up the surrounding area and the penetration of light. Speaking about Tom Carr’s work which welcomes visitors and employees in the Agora hall, the curator states that “its plastic construction suggests the rigor of the engineer’s work, pairing it with the softness of the artist’s movements.” The works chosen thereby question the impact of colours on our universe.
