Jeremiah Liron says the barren architecture provides an opaque presence. With little or no vegetation, and a corner of sky. References to the cinema are numerous: composition demonstrating low-angles, geometry, shade and light effects, distanced by the presence of glass or plexiglass.
"Areas of bleached concrete and red bricks fall like blades, dark lines slice through the canvas, terraces break into the sky, foundations cut into the earth," writes the art critic Philippe Dagen.
