The works of Coco Amardeil are inspired by contemporary artists such as Marina Abramovic and Gerhard Richter, and by photographers such as Tim Walker, especially his series for the British Vogue, and Peter Lindbergh and his series for the Italian Vogue in the early 1990s.
"Come Hell or High Water" was Coco Amardeil's first major project, with which she won a Bourse du Talent 2017 prize. It shows adolescents born at the approach of the third millennium—millennials—bursting out from the water as if they had just been reborn, before entering adulthood with admittedly swagger and cheekiness, but not without apprehension.
